On May 18, Zhou Yuxian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Building Materials Group, met with Zhang Xi, Vice Governor of Anhui Province and his party at the group headquarters. The two sides held discussions and exchanges on promoting the development of new materials industry and consolidating and deepening cooperation between the central and local governments. Zhou Yuxian welcomed Zhang Xi and his entourage and expressed his gratitude to the Anhui Provincial Government for its strong support to China National Building Materials Group and enterprises in Anhui over the years. When visiting the exhibition hall of the group, he briefly introduced the reform and development of the group in recent years and the future development plan. He said that Anhui Province is a key area for the layout of China's building materials industry. 16 prefecture-level cities in the province have the industrial layout of China's building materials, whether it is basic building materials industries such as cement clinker, aggregates, and gypsum board, or new materials industries such as CIGS solar cells, TFT-LCD glass substrates, ultra-thin electronic glass, and high-end equipment manufacturing industries such as cement engineering equipment and cable equipment. The two sides have a good history of cooperation and further expand and deepen the foundation, in the follow-up, we hope to use new materials as a link to further promote the group's various types of industries, especially the new material industry, to blossom in Anhui, and to contribute to the promotion of high-end basic industries and the modernization of the industrial chain in Anhui Province, and to achieve the goal of "three places and one district.
Zhang Xi expressed his gratitude to China National Building Materials Group for its role as a central enterprise and its contribution to the economic and industrial development of Anhui Province. He introduced that in order to accelerate the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, Anhui Province is working hard to build an "aircraft carrier-level" technological innovation platform, focusing on the field of new materials, leading emerging industries to accelerate agglomeration, and promoting manufacturing upgrades. He hoped that the two sides would rely on the regional, policy and resource advantages of Anhui Province to further draw up a new blueprint for bilateral cooperation and jointly develop new developments in new materials, high-end manufacturing and other fields.
Finally, the two sides conducted a study on the specific landing and follow-up work arrangements to promote the new materials industry.
