On August 24, 2022, China Cement Association held a seminar on green, low-carbon and high-quality development of cement industry in China Building Materials Group. The theme of the conference is: Anti-epidemic steady growth to promote supply-side reform Green low-carbon transformation to promote high-quality development. China Cement Association President Gao Dengbang attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhou Yuxian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China National Building Materials Group, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China National Building Materials Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the meeting and delivered a speech. Yang Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Anhui Conch Group, Chairman of Conch Cement, Jiang Yingwu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Beijing BBMG Group, Ji Youhong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of China Resources Cement, Zhang Anping, Chairman of the Party Committee and Chairman of Red Lion Holding Group Zhang Xiaohua and other corporate leaders; Executive Chairman of the Association, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China Building Materials Group, xiao Jiaxiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of New Tianshan Cement, and Zhao Xinjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of New Tianshan Cement, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Kong Xiangzhong, executive chairman of China Cement Association.

Zhou Yuxian delivered a speech entitled "win-win cooperation, innovation and development to create a better future for the cement industry". On behalf of China Building Materials Group, Zhou Yuxian expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the seminar and heartfelt thanks to the China Cement Association and brother enterprises for their strong support over the years. He analyzed the current opportunities and challenges facing the cement industry, and proposed that the more complex the situation and the arduous task, the more we must deal with the uncertainty of the environment with the certainty of our own development. One is a unified understanding, firm confidence. Through the leadership of the association, the leadership of large enterprises, and the self-discipline of the entire industry, we will strive to promote the high-quality development of the industry and make greater contributions to the development of the national economy. The second is to focus on key points and implement them tightly. We will resolutely implement supply-side structural reforms focusing on green and low-carbon transformation and the withdrawal of excess capacity. Third, pragmatic cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win results. Carry out all-round cooperation around technological progress, standard formulation, model innovation, optimization and upgrading of the cement industry, and explore diversified cooperation methods such as creating innovation consortia, industry integration, and equity cooperation. He said that China National Building Materials Group is willing to work with all parties to create mutual trust, mutual benefit, mutual benefit, create, share, and win-win results, and work together to write a new chapter in the high-quality development of the cement industry.
 
President Gao Dengbang said in his speech that the development of the new material industry of China Building Materials Group is impressive and enlightening, and the cement industry should actively explore new areas of business and seek transformation and development while strengthening and expanding the cement industry. He emphasized that first, the cement industry must have a deep understanding of the development situation of the industry, strengthen development confidence, adhere to staggered production, resolutely curb new production capacity, and maintain industry stability. Second, the cement industry should focus on medium-and long-term development, adhere to scientific and technological innovation, lead development with the goal of "double carbon", and promote the industry to reduce production capacity and green and low-carbon transformation. Third, the Cement Association should strengthen special research on carbon emission accounting, carbon trading, and capacity reduction to better serve the industry and the government.
 

At the seminar, the participants focused on the theme of "unswervingly do a good job in the second half of the epidemic to stabilize growth, strengthen the implementation of peak production, and strive for steady growth in industry efficiency throughout the year", and discussed the challenges facing the steady growth of the cement industry, the supply-side structural reform of the industry, and the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the industry. The meeting discussed and reviewed the "Work Plan on Promoting the Supply-side Structural Reform of the Cement Industry Focusing on the Green and Low-carbon Transformation of the Industry and Guiding the Exit of Excess Capacity", and reviewed and approved the "Conference Proposal" in principle.

Before the meeting, Zhou Yuxian and Chang Zhangli accompanied the participants to visit the exhibition hall of China Building Materials Group and introduced in detail the development process of China Building Materials Group and the development of the "three pillars" business sector.
 
Relevant leaders of China Cement Association and relevant comrades of China Building Materials Group, Anhui Conch Group, Beijing Jinyu Group, China Resources Cement, Taimi Group, Red Lion Holding Group and other member units attended the meeting.
