Today, we are gathered together to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the the People's Republic of China. Over the past 74 years, China has gone from being poor and white to being well-off in an all-round way, and has embarked on a new journey of comprehensively promoting the building of a strong country and national rejuvenation with Chinese-style modernization. This is a great achievement made by the Communist Party of China in uniting and leading the people of all ethnic groups throughout the country in their hard struggle. Here, on behalf of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, I would like to extend my high respect to the people of all ethnic groups throughout the country, to the officers and soldiers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the Armed Police Force, to the democratic parties and people without party affiliation! Sincere greetings to compatriots in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region, Taiwan compatriots and overseas Chinese! I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to friendly countries and international friends who care about and support China's modernization drive!

This year is the first year to implement the spirit of the Party's 20th National Congress.
