The Hunan outstanding talent group represented by Mao Zedong did not live up to Chen Duxiu's high expectations, and made important contributions to the establishment of the Communist Party of China with theoretical achievements, excellent talent team, and pragmatic work performance.

Eight early organizations of the Communist Party of China were established from 1920 to 1921, namely, the early organization of the Communist Party of Shanghai, the early organization of the Communist Party of Beijing, the early organization of the Communist Party of Wuhan, the early organization of the Communist Party of Changsha, the early organization of the Communist Party of Guangzhou, the early organization of the Communist Party of Jinan, the early organization of the Communist Party of France and the early organization of the Communist Party of Japan.

According to statistics, in addition to Changsha, Hunan people were present in the early party organizations in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, France and Japan. In other words, of the eight early Communist Party organizations, Hunan people participated in six. Before the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, among the 58 members of the early Chinese Communist Party organization across the country, there were 20 Hunan Communist Party members, namely Li Da, Lin Boqu, Li Qihan, and Li Zhong of the early Shanghai party organization; Deng Zhongxia, He Mengxiong, Luo Zhanglong, Miao Boying, Li Meigeng, Zhu Wushan, and Wu Yuming of the early Beijing party organization; mao Zedong, He Shuheng, Peng Huang, He Minfan, Yi Lirong, and Chen Zibo of the early party organization in Changsha; Li Ji of the early party organization in Guangzhou; Chen Gongpei of the early party organization in France and Zhou Fohai of the early party organization in Japan.

This group of Hunan people made great contributions to the spread of Marxism, the formation of party building theory and the establishment and development of early party organizations. Taking the establishment of the early organization of the Communist Party of Changsha as an example, the organization paid special attention to the party building ideology, party building principles and other issues. After the establishment of the early organization, Mao Zedong, on the one hand, based on the Xinmin Society, carried out Marxist propaganda activities in the name of the Marxist Research Society, the Cultural Book Society, and the Russian Research Society; at the same time, he established night schools for workers to promote Marxism-Leninism to workers and organize trade unions., Leading workers in struggle, promoted the combination of Marxism-Leninism and the labor movement.
