The present situation of building energy saving


 



China's building energy efficiency is backward and needs to be improved. Research by the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Construction shows that with the acceleration of urbanization and the improvement of people's quality of life, the proportion of building energy consumption in my country will eventually rise to about 45%. At present, 97% of the buildings belong to high energy consumption buildings. Building energy consumption has become the weakness of China's economic development. If we do not start to pay attention to building energy-saving design, it will directly aggravate the energy crisis.

 

The growth rate of building energy consumption far exceeds the possible growth rate of energy production in our country. If this kind of high energy-consuming buildings continues to develop, the country's energy production will inevitably be difficult to support this wasteful demand for a long time, and it will have to be forced to organize large-scale The energy-saving renovation of old houses will consume more manpower and material resources. According to statistics, the annual demolition of old buildings in my country has accounted for 40% of the new buildings. Among them, due to factors such as planning adjustments and economic benefits, the demolition of roads, bridges, and buildings that are far from the service life limit has occurred. Actively improving energy efficiency in buildings can greatly alleviate the country's energy shortage and promote the development of China's national economic construction. Therefore,Improving building energy efficiency is an important measure to implement sustainable development strategies, achieve national energy-saving planning goals, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which is in line with global development trends.

Four stages of building energy saving and 75% energy saving standard


 



The 75% energy-saving standard is that the standard coal consumption is less than 6.25kg in a heating season. China's building energy conservation work has been carried out for more than 30 years. According to the "Design Standard for Energy Conservation of Civil Buildings (Heating and Residential Construction Part)" formulated by the Ministry of Construction, the target sources of building energy conservation in China are as follows:

 

1. It turns out that building energy conservation in China is based on building energy consumption from 1980 to 1981, and each step is based on improving energy efficiency by 30% on the basis of the previous stage. Therefore, it is usually said that the first stage of energy saving is 30% on the basis of 1980-1981, which is commonly known as the standard of 30% energy saving.

 

2. The second stage of energy saving is to save another 30% on the basis of the first stage of energy saving, I .e. 30% + 70% × 30% = 51%, which is referred to as the standard of 50% energy saving for short.

 

3. The third stage of energy saving is to save 30% on the basis of the second stage of energy saving, I .e. 50% + 50% × 30% = 65%, which is referred to as the standard of 65% energy saving for short.

 

4、Since 2015, some regions have begun to implement the fourth phase of energy-saving standards, that is, 30% energy-saving on the basis of 65%, reaching 75% energy-saving effect.This is what we often hear about "three-step energy saving" and "four-step energy saving".

Some provinces and cities implement 75% energy-saving standards for residential buildings


 



In order to accelerate the efficiency of reducing building energy consumption, implement national regulations and policies on energy conservation and environmental protection, achieve the strategic goal of sustainable development, and further reduce building energy consumption, various provinces and cities have responded, and some provinces and cities have implemented 75% energy-saving standards.

 

1. Shandong issued a new version of the residential building energy-saving design standards, the implementation of 75% energy-saving standards

 

The Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Shandong Province and the Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision jointly issued the "Energy-saving Design Standards for Residential Buildings", which determined the full implementation of the 75% energy-saving standard.

 

2. Hebei Provincial Housing and Construction Department issued the "passive low-energy residential building energy-saving design standards"

 

Since May 1, 2015, Hebei Province has implemented the "Passive Low Energy Residential Building Energy Efficiency Design Standard"-strictly implementing the 75% residential building energy efficiency design standard.

 

3. Zhejiang Province issued the "residential building energy efficiency design standards"

 

The Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Zhejiang Province approved the newly revised "Energy-saving Design Standards for Residential Buildings in Zhejiang Province" since October 1, 2015.

 

4. Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Residential Buildings in Beijing

 

The new standard has been raised to 75%. Beijing will fully implement the design standards of 75% energy saving for residential buildings and 65% energy saving for public buildings from 2015.

 

5. Xinjiang promotes the work target of 75% energy saving in residential buildings

 

In order to further promote the work of building energy conservation in Xinjiang, the Xinjiang Construction Standards Service Center organized and compiled the "Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Residential Buildings in Severe Cold (C) Zone", which has been formally implemented since 2015. it provides a technical basis for the autonomous region to promote the work goal of 75% energy efficiency of residential buildings.

 

6. Full implementation of residential building energy-saving 75% standard in Jilin Province

 

For newly established residential building projects in the administrative area of the province, the "energy saving 75% standard" shall be implemented; all new, modified and expanded residential building projects that have not passed the construction drawing review before June 30, 2020 must be designed and reviewed in strict accordance with the "energy saving 75% standard.

 

7. Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Residential Buildings in Xi'an (75%)

 

On March 23, 2020, the "Xi'an Residential Building Energy Efficiency Design Standard" (hereinafter referred to as the "New Standard") jointly issued by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Shaanxi Provincial Market Supervision Administration was officially implemented on May 10, 2020.

 

8. Shanxi Province issued the "green building special action plan"

 

The province is required to strictly implement the local standard of 75% energy saving for new residential buildings, and actively promote the application of thermal insulation structure integration technology.

Reduce the energy consumption of the building itself and realize the energy saving of the building


 



For the general wall enclosure structure, in order to achieve 75% energy saving index, additional internal and external thermal insulation materials (such as rock wool, XPS polystyrene extruded board and other thermal insulation materials) must be added, which is especially easy to cause hollowing, falling off, flammability, short service life and other hidden dangers that threaten the safety of people's lives and property. The foam concrete self-insulation block belongs to the wall self-insulation system, which is a structural integration product with many advantages such as solid waste utilization, heat preservation, heat insulation, high strength, good fire resistance, water seepage prevention, simple construction, and the same life span as the building. As a single wall material, it can not only meet the 75% energy-saving requirements, but also reduce the construction cost, this new green building wall innovation material has passed the standard system of the the People's Republic of China building materials industry standard JC/T 2550-2019, and is working with the Shanghai Academy of Construction Sciences on the national group standard "Technical Specification for Application of Foam Concrete Self-insulating Blocks". It is believed that it will soon enter major building design institutes and become the preferred new wall building material for building designers.
